Hotel super.

Overpriced
4.0/5.0
The hotel is situated just a 10-minute walk from Victoria Falls. The breakfast offered is average and the bar service can be a bit slow, the rooms are somewhat mediocre and lack a closet. On a positive note, the overall scenery of the hotel is beautiful, although it does feel overpriced for what is provided.

Great location near Falls and wildlife
5.0/5.0
Fantastic location within walking distance to the Falls. Decor of common area and our room was beautiful. We had a 2nd floor unit (room 68) that was perched over the grounds which provided amazing wildlife sightings of Elephants and Warthogs from our spacious deck. Pool area, bar and dining area are beautiful and the staff so attentive. We were here during high water at Falls which we could hear, be ready to also hear all the helicopter tours overhead, but that affects all local hotels. Note, the USD is the local currency of which you can get from multiple ATMs a block away.

A gem place to stay at Victoria falls. Hotel was wonderful, typical lodge style with all modern amenities. Best asset was the staff, a great and wonderful team that made you feel relaxed and with a very helpful and knowledgeable attitude. Everything was perfect, well organised and even our very late requests were accommodated. Well done to all, definitely a place to return

General Information
Getting There:
Located on the Zimbabwean side of the mighty Zambezi River, Ilala Lodge Hotel is geographically the closest hotel to the magnificent Victoria Falls and is easily accessible to the town centre.
When to Travel:
There is always a great time to visit Victoria Falls, we suggest discovering which season best suits your interests. High-water season is from February to July, offering spectacular views of the Falls, so be prepared to get wet. The low-water season from August to January is perfect for activities like white-water rafting and swimming in Devil’s Pool. September offers lower water levels and cooler weather, providing excellent visibility of the falls. For adrenaline activities and water sports, August and September are the ideal months to visit.
Safari peak season is from June to October, perfect for combining a safari with a visit to Victoria Falls. The ‘sweet spot’ for both great safari experiences and stunning waterfall views is generally July and August.
